Let’s be honest... people can be exhausting. The friend who keeps ghosting you. The comment section that makes you lose faith in humanity. The constant tension in the news, in families, even in churches. It’s easy to get cynical. To pull back. To stop caring. But here’s the thing: Jesus didn’t stop loving even when people didn’t get it, didn’t care, or walked away. In John 13, right before His arrest, Jesus washes His disciples’ feet, including Judas’. He knew betrayal was coming, yet He chose service over self protection. That kind of love doesn’t come from willpower. It comes from being filled with God’s love first. 1 John 4:19 says, “We love because He first loved us.” If our love is running out, it might be because we’ve disconnected from the source. So, take a breath. Put down the phone. Sit with Jesus. Let His love refill you so you can pour it out again. The world doesn’t need more opinions, it needs more people who look like love. Real, messy, patient, Jesus style love. The kind that keeps showing up, even when it hurts.
