When the Battle Feels Too Big

1 Timothy 6:12 | Exodus 14:14

I woke up this morning already tired. You ever have those days? Before my feet even hit the floor, I could feel the weight of the week pressing down on me... the bills, kids’ schedules, a stress from work, that lingering thought from yesterday. It’s like life handed me a sword and said, “Good luck,” but forgot to mention that the enemy has tanks.

I was reminded of Paul’s words that echo from time to time in my life. “Fight the good fight of the faith” (1 Timothy 6:12).

It’s not a gentle suggestion. It’s a call to arms. But this fight isn’t against people. It’s not about proving ourselves right or winning the argument online, and trust me, if you'd look at the comments in some of our posts, people come at us. Rather this fight is about holding onto my faith when everything around us screams at me to let it go.

Fighting the good fight means refusing to give in to fear when anxiety comes for your peace. It’s speaking truth when lies sound easier. It’s forgiving when bitterness would feel better. It’s choosing to forgive after you’ve been hurt.

God never promised us an easy battle. However, He did promise His presence in it. “The Lord will fight for you; you need only to be still” (Exodus 14:14).

So today, if the battle feels too big, remember this... you’re not fighting alone.

The same God who split seas and silenced storms is standing beside you. Pick up your faith.

Hold it tight.
You’re not losing!
You are just growing stronger!
